Vaccine Awareness Week in Construction launched.

CIRI part of RI consortium urging participation in April 19-23 campaign.

As construction work has continued across Rhode Island during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhode Island’s construction industry leaders have developed and honed best practices to mitigate health risks to construction workers and others. With significant experience working safely in hazardous conditions and applying rigorous protocols, these organizations remain steadfastly committed to implementing the highest standards of workplace safety that meet or exceed CDC and OSHA recommendations.

To augment these efforts, a consortium of RI construction leaders is actively promoting the national Vaccine Awareness Week in Construction effort. Spearheaded by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other partnering groups, the week-long campaign was created to raise awareness of the safety, effectiveness and benefits of COVID-19 vaccination among construction workers.

The RI construction organizations and consortium executives promoting the campaign, in addition to support of RI Department of Health guidance on vaccinations, are:
