Candidates wanted for Henry J. Sherlock Scholarships.

Application period open through April 24.

CIRI will again award Henry J. Sherlock Scholarships in 2017 to graduating seniors. As the program enters its seventh year, a total of six scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $3,500 each.

Any senior high school student graduating in 2017 who is the child or grandchild of a present employee or an employee of a CIRI member company — and will be enrolling in a two-year or four-year accredited college or university — is eligible to apply for consideration.

During the review process, the CIRI Scholarship Committee considers a number of key factors including: scholastic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities, personal recommendations, and the student’s personal essay (to be included with his/her application).

The 2017 winners will be notified in early May, and recognized at the annual CIRI Spring Dinner Meeting on May 24.
