RWU heavy/highway team competing in ASC regional event.
CIRI supported team looking to extend history of successes.
The Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Region 1 competition is a valuable test of skills and endurance for Construction Management students. CIRI provides travel support for the Roger Williams University Heavy/Highway Competition Team, which is led by Dr. Amine Ghanem Ph.D., P.E., PMP and Keith Catanzaro, who are respectively Professor and Adjunct Professor of Construction Management at RWU.
At press time, three RWU teams of six students were finishing preparations for the early November 2022 competition in Albany, NY. The educational process for this demanding fast-track competition begins in the spring, includes summer learning and internships, and culminates in the fall. Over the years, RWU competition teams have been frequent winners in all three categories — Heavy Civil, Preconstruction and Design Build — sometimes sweeping all three.
