The 2024 General Assembly is in full swing. The election-year fundraising season is also up and running. It’s a particularly important time for the CIRI Political Action Committee (PAC) to share our perspectives with RI legislators and governing officials statewide. It’s also crucial to support candidates and current elected officials whose views help to advance our industry and make positive impacts.

Through continual communication with a multitude of federal, state and local government officials, CIRI is a unified and active voice for companies across all facets of the heavy and highway construction industry. Working to support positive industry-friendly legislation. While voicing opposition to bills that are detrimental to our members’ interests.

The diligent broad-based CIRI PAC effort also helps ensure proper baseline funding for our state’s road and bridge construction projects — while advocating for increases to counteract inflation and address critical needs. This in turn alleviates the need for public bond-issue campaigns that cost our industry hundreds of thousands of dollars.
