Driving our active, multifaceted role in awareness/training.
At the end of the day, the most important thing for our member companies is for their employees to be able to return home without being injured. To protect member companies and their employees, the CIRI Safety/EEO/Training Committee conducts collaborative training initiatives with key transportation construction industry partners and allies. Recent partners have included RIDOT, local union affiliates, the state’s public utilities and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA).
Enabling member companies of all sizes to keep personnel up to date with certifications and safety awareness/knowledge, CIRI-sponsored initiatives include a series of toolbox talks by participating companies, either at their headquarters or on jobsites. This includes an annual May effort at the beginning of the construction season, which taps into the wider synergy of National Safety Week.
In recent years, CIRI has also provided free high-level training programs in executive project management and field leadership. Helping our member companies to nurture and further the capabilities of key personnel in their respective organizations.
